Manny Pacquiao Is Going To Get Knocked Out Again, Says Brandon Rios
Manny Pacquiao may be a 3-to-1 favorite heading into his Nov. 2013 showdown against Brandon Rios, but that doesn’t mean a whole lot to anyone. Pacquiao has been the favorite in each of his last two matches, and he’s subsequently lost both. Rios was the favorite heading into his second fight versus Mike Alvarado, and that ultimately didn’t do much for him either. Pre-fight odds are just that – pre-fight odds.

Manny Pacquiao Forced To Fight In Asia By Golden Boy, Oscar De La Hoya?
Earlier this year Manny Pacquiao sent shockwaves through boxing when he announced that, for the first time since July of 2006, he was going to be fighting outside of the United States. Over the past five years, regardless of whether you rooted for him or against him, there was no denying that the Filipino star was one of the two biggest names boxing had to offer. His decision to fight in a different country, no matter how it was sold to the public, was huge.

Manny Pacquiao Should Be Ready For A Bloody Mess, Says Brandon Rios
Brandon Rios is relatively unknown compared to some of the other potential opponents Manny Pacquiao wanted to fight next, so it’s understandable why the reaction to their fight announcement was a bit muted. That being said, despite the fact that he’s coming off a loss, Rios is one of the most promising and gritty boxers in the game today. It’s debatable whether he can beat Pacquiao, but it’s a lock that he’ll entertain either way.

Manny Pacquiao Vs. Brandon Rios Will Have A Lasting Impact
While the prospect of seeing Manny Pacquiao taking on Juan Manuel Marquez for a fifth time or Timothy Bradley for a second time was appealing, nobody was especially disappointed when the Filipino star ended up settling for Brandon Rios. Sure, the other two options brought bigger names to the table, but neither one offered up as stylistically an interesting a match-up as Rios will.

Manny Pacquiao Vs. Timothy Bradley: Delusions Of Grandeur
The one thing that Timothy Bradley had going for him in the aftermath of his undeserved victory over Manny Pacquiao was that people still liked him. Everyone knew that he didn’t earn the win that was handed to him by a couple of inept, incompetent judges – but it was still widely agreed upon that he wasn’t to blame.

Manny Pacquiao, Floyd Mayweather May Meet Regardless Of What Happens With Canelo Alvarez
Floyd Mayweather Jr. surprised a lot of people when he agreed to fight Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez this September. The undefeated star has a lengthy history of avoiding guys who he feels are legitimate threats to his crown, and for better or worse, Alvarez has been perceived as a legitimate threat for the better part of the last year. Thus, between that and the weight issues that had seemingly arisen over the past month, it didn’t seem like this thing would come to fruition.

Manny Pacquiao Doesn’t Understand Why Juan Manuel Marquez Won’t Fight Him
Manny Pacquiao has joined the rest of the boxing community in wondering why Juan Manuel Marquez is displaying so little interest in fighting him again. While it is generally accepted that this is simply a negotiating ploy by Marquez and his people to get more money and have a little more say in how things are arranged for the fifth match, the logic that is being used to justify it is still bizarre.

Manny Pacquiao Will Obviously Retire If He Loses To Brandon Rios
Manny Pacquiao will fight Brandon Rios towards the end of 2013, and the bout will determine how much more time he has in the sport. If he prevails and breaks his current two-match losing streak, then the sky’s the limit as far as what happens next. If he loses, however, then it’s the end of the road for him.

Manny Pacquiao And Juan Manuel Marquez Won’t Meet A Fifth Time
In the aftermath of their thrilling fourth fight this past December, it seemed to be a virtual lock that Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez would meet for a fifth time. The former won two of their showdowns, the latter won one. However, seeing as Marquez’s victory came via knockout and Pacquiao’s came by way of controversial decisions, it made sense that folks chalked their records against one another up to being a draw. That’s why a fifth bout made so much sense.

Manny Pacquiao Is Still On Juan Manuel Marquez’s Mind
Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez likely won’t fight a fifth time. The latter has a bout set up against Timothy Bradley for later this year, and even if he prevails, at 40 years old he’ll be very tempted to hang up his gloves once and for all after that. The former has a match-up set up against Brandon Rios for November, and regardless of the outcome, it’s doubtful that his future plans include another tangle with arguably his biggest rival.

Is Manny Pacquiao Really Fighting Brandon Rios In China Because Of Taxes?
Manny Pacquiao’s decision to take his talents to China caught everyone off guard. For the last decade, he’s been one of a handful of stars keeping boxing mildly relevant in the American market, and despite his recent woes, that was unlikely to change any time soon.

Manny Pacquiao, Floyd Mayweather Continue To Play It Cool
The greatest fight to never happen may or may not go down at some point within the next 16 months. As numerous sources have mentioned on multiple occasions, the stars are lining up perfectly for a showdown between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. within the next year and change. However, despite the fact that this match-up makes all the sense in the world to put together, all involved are being very hush hush about the whole thing.
